Industrial Solar Panels
In today's environmentally conscious age many people are turning to solar power. Not only can solar power help the environment, it can save money and energy. Solar power isn't just for residential areas. Industrial solar panels are being used to power commercial buildings in various areas around the world. For example, in the Gold Country foothills of California there is a water treatment plant that saves around 50 percent on their electric costs because they use solar power. Even smaller businesses can benefit from the use of solar power.
Companies such as the water treatment plant and many others are using a photovoltaic also called a PV system to supplement, backup or even replace their traditional electric power source. Industrial systems are made of PV solar panels installed on rooftops or mounted on posts in the ground. These PV systems are hooked up to inverters which turn the solar energy into AC power that can be utilized. This solution protects businesses against rising energy rates and frees up more money for other purposes. When a company saves money on utilities they can use the money to reinvest in their business or boost their bottom line.
More and more companies are looking towards alternative sources of energy like wind power and solar power. Without total dependence on their state or local power grid these companies can save and even make money. So, how many companies are taking advantage of solar power? It would be hard to count all of them, but in the state of California it is estimated that around 4000 new solar power kits are installed each year. Solar power has become less risky because of state and federal incentives for use, great warranty programs from solar panel manufacturers and even financing programs that make it easy for anyone to implement solar power.
For industrial solar panels it is estimated that the return on investment, or ROI, is five years on average. Upon reaching this point businesses using solar power get a free energy source that will last for decades. The solar panel kits produced today are even more likely to produce and store power for many years to come. One example of this is the silicon solar cell which was first developed by Bell Labs a half century ago. One of the same solar power cells used by Bell Labs in the 1950s is still generating energy to this day. Therefore if you are looking for an industrial power solution you should definitely think solar.
