Using Wind Power At Home And Building A DIY Wind Turbine
The potential of Home Wind Power is often not recognized by the media, as the large commercial wind farms built by governments tend to steal all the attention.
The thing is the technology for generating electricity from the wind is getting better and better all the time. We are now at a point where pretty much anyone can se it and get a DIY Wind Turbine up and running in next to no time. It's not the gigantic type that we have all seen in pictures or the TV, they are turbines that will fit in a back yard and provide enough power for a home or an office.
By building you own wind turbine you help yourself in some many different areas. First of course is the good that it will do from an environmental perspective.
Secondly, it's a great way to save money on your fuel bills and let's face it, they are only ever going to go in one direction and that is up.
Lastly, you will get a great kick out of the whole process from start to finish.
For me, I was most keen to start saving cash when I first began with renewable energy. However, this has been a great journey and I wouldn't swap the great times with new friends for anything else.
You will have to make a little investment in getting things set up initially, however everything you need to get up and running can normally be sourced for under $200.
Also you will need to get yourself a really high quality instruction manual. These guides take people through the process from start to finish and assume you are starting as a novice.
